Frequently Asked Questions
Please allow 5 business days to process all new account applications.
You do not need an AA Cargo shipping account to transport your personal pet, however
if you would like to use a pet transport, please visit IPATA.org. If you are a business
that needs to ship live animals, including empty kennels or animal semen, you must apply
to be a TSA Known Shipper and obtain an AA Cargo shipping account.
If you only need to ship once, you typically don’t need a full account.
The PAL application process requires a physical business address. There is also a separate
field for Mailing Address (if different than physical address), which means you can provide a
P.O. Box as a mailing address, but not as the primary business address. For security compliance,
the business address must match what is registered with Dun & Bradstreet during TSA Known Shipper
verification.
You generally cannot apply for a U.S. cargo shipping account without meeting TSA or IATA
requirements, because these credentials establish your security status and shipping privileges.
If you do not have TSA Known Shipper or IAC status, you’ll need to complete additional steps
before shipping domestically.
