To offer you true flexibility, there are three ways to pay for cargo shipments: prepaid, collect (when charges are paid once it gets to the destination) or mixed.
A few exceptions do exist for speed and convenience: If you are using our Priority Parcel Service (PPS), including live animals, payment is required via credit card or credit account. Also, please keep in mind that fees may apply to internationally collected shipments.

U.S. Domestic and Canadian Transborder credit account payments can be made online.
Please make each check payable to American Airlines, Inc., for the exact amount of charges. Also, have your identification ready for verification.
Please counter-sign all traveler's checks in front of one of our receiving agents. You may have to show identification.
Unfortunately, our Airport Ticket Counters no longer accept checks. This will only affect Priority Parcel Service (PPS) small package and animal shipments at the passenger terminals. But we do accept them at American Airlines Cargo facilities. Please call 1-800-CARGOAA if you have any questions.
