American Airlines Cargo's Accessorial Fees and Surcharges are applied are based on the Air Waybill execution date (e.g., the Air Waybill date). They are not based on the flight, booking or log receive date.
Effective May 1, 2020, American Airlines Cargo implemented a cancellation and change policy for shipments with a chargeable weight of 100kg or more for all domestic and international bookings, with the exception of Live Animals, Human Remains and PPS shipments.
The policy allows cancellations or rebookings at no charge up to 48 hours prior to scheduled departure. Canceling or rebooking within 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee. Fees for canceling or rebooking less than 48 hours and up to 24 hours prior to scheduled departure, as well as fees for canceling or rebooking under 24 hours prior to scheduled departure or failure to show can be found in the table below.

Within 24 hours before scheduled departure, any reduction in either the number of containers or a reduction greater than 250kg in chargeable weight will incur a change fee of $50. At tender, any reduction in either the number of containers or a reduction greater than 250kg in chargeable weight will result in a change fee of $100.
After receiving the booking confirmation, customers have up to one hour to cancel at no charge.
