Don't let our name fool you — American Airlines Cargo has a significant network on the ground.
With more than 750 trucking lanes, our trucking network connects your freight with our major hubs around the globe with our on-time and cost-efficient solutions. In fact, almost 30 percent of all of our ConfirmedFS™ and ExpediteFS™ shipments are carried by our trucking fleet at some point.
Most of all, our trucking network allows us to provide our award-winning service to customers in offline cities and stations where we don't operate widebodies. Our trucks move widebody freight to our hubs, a vital service that helps increase the amount of capacity and number of routing options available to our worldwide customers.
In 2017, we expanded our trucking network routes to link together key European cities and help us move more freight than without these critical connections. Our European trucking service enables you with more options from any major city, whether it's Munich, Amsterdam or Madrid.
The expansion resulted in setting record after record for pounds shipped on an individual day into and out of London Heathrow (LHR).
In 2018 alone, nearly 200 daily dispatches moved 500 million pounds (226.8 million kgs) through our dedicated trucking service.
We have a surface logistics team that oversees our trucking operation and finds creative ways to get freight from our offline cities through our hubs and on to the rest of the world.
We update our listing of our daily scheduled trucks every week, but that isn't the extent of our service. We develop customized routings and often provide a truck specific to our customer needs, so don't worry if you don't see a specific truck offering on our schedule.
